MaxIt Publishing's Centennial Stories Selected
by Organizing Committee for San Francisco's 150th Anniversary Gala
LOS ANGELES 4/18/00-MaxIt Publishing, Inc., a new publishing and
marketing venture specializing in melding traditional publishing
with sophisticated internet promotion of its own books and the works
of other authors, announced the selection of its title Centennial
Stories, by the organizing committee for the 150th Anniversary
Gala, celebrating the Anniversary of the City of San Francisco.
The committee will distribute Centennial Stories to every
person who attends its event at the San Francisco City Hall.
Centennial Stories, is a compilation of excerpts from
two soon-to-be published novels by author Daniel Alef. Both novels,
part of The California Chronicles, a trilogy set in California during
its formative years are remarkable for their realism and authenticity.
Mr. Alef spent 10 years researching and tapping into California's
most incredible events, from the influx of immigrants to the Monterey
constitutional convention and the political corruption and crime
that finally resulted in the largest mass vigilante movements ever
seen.
Maxit Publishing believes that Centennial Stories will ultimately become an educational staple for every high school and college student who attends California schools. It includes an extensive time line, bibliography and illustrations of the depicted events.
The three novels that constitute The California Chronicles are Pale Truth, scheduled for publication in October, 2000, Measured Swords and Honor Unto Death, due for publication in 2001 and 2002 respectively.
